A behavior technician must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 40 hours of specialized training is required for this position. In order to become a Registered Behavior Technician, you must pass a competency assessment and exam. Being an RBT is ideal for someone who wants to advance their salary and envisions a career in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
